Do you have an apprentice to celebrate?

Nominate an apprentice in southwest Michigan who is transforming the trade in celebration of National Apprenticeship Week!

National Apprenticeship week is November 17-23 and we want to celebrate apprentices that have made a lasting impact in their industry. This nationwide celebration provides Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren the opportunity to highlight how Registered Apprenticeship Programs can help address some of our nation’s most pressing workforce challenges. To celebrate this nationwide event, we are seeking five current or alumni apprentices that have been dedicated to their area of focus.

A strong award candidate:

  1. Must be a current or alumni apprentice of a registered USDOL apprenticeship. Proof is required.

  2. Must work or live in Berrien, Cass, or Van Buren County.

  3. Must be willing to submit a statement and a picture.

Employers are encouraged to nominate apprentices. Self-nominations for this award are also both accepted and encouraged.

Nominations will be accepted until October 27, 2024 at 11:59 pm. Awardees will be selected by a panel of experienced workforce development professionals who specialize in registered apprenticeships.

The five selected individuals will receive a certificate of recognition and be featured in national apprenticeship week communications, on social media, and on the Michigan Works! website.
