About Michigan Works:
Michigan Works! Berrien-Cass-Van Buren is a local, non-profit
agency which aims to strengthen our regional economy through
workforce development. We operate five Service Centers throughout
Southwest Michigan, providing services to area employers and
jobseekers at no cost.
Business Services:
The Michigan Works Business Services team focuses on high-impact
solutions in four key industry sectors which drive the economic base
of Berrien, Cass and Van Buren counties:
• Manufacturing
• Hospitality and Tourism
• Construction & Energy
• Healthcare
Our Business Services professionals bring a combination of human
resource and workforce development experience unique to their
particular sector.
Staffing and recruiting for your current openings will be managed by
a staffing coordinator who is familiar with the workforce in your
local area.
Together, your Business Services Manager and Staffing Coordinator
will work together to develop a plan that best meets your
organization's needs.
Jobseeker Services:
Unlike some other organizations, Michigan Works! does not 'place' you
in a job. Rather, we give you the tools to map out your own optimal
career path. Whether you're a recent graduate or a seasoned
professional, Michigan Works! has a variety of services for you to

Youth Works:
Attaining the skills and knowledge to succeed
in life is the #1 goal of our young people. Michigan Works offers a
variety of in-school and out-of-school programs which provide
disadvantaged youth opportunities to develop leadership, build
self-esteem, gain work-experience, and realize their educational and
occupational potential.
Adult Education:
Michigan Works provides FREE General
Educational Development (GED) classes and testing at the Benton
Harbor Service Center, as well as instruction in adult basic
